Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Hadi Hamza, a lecturer at the College of Law at Nahrain University, participated in the Second Innovation Summit in the Digital Economy – Qatar (IDES), which was organized by the International Institute for Digital Economy and Information Technology (IIDIET) in Doha from 4 to 5 February 2025, with the participation of researchers from various countries around the world.

The participation consisted of presenting a scientific research in which the researcher reviewed the legal challenges of this system and provided recommendations for adopting the digital transformation system and accelerating digital twinning in Iraq, which requires enhancing regional and international cooperation to develop joint legislation between countries.

The research included the importance of laws and legislation to protect innovation in all fields in general and in protecting the digital economy in particular.

The research aims to demonstrate the role of law in protecting digital intellectual property and enhancing digital security in electronic transactions such as electronic signature, documentation and contracting, which confirms the need for legislation that achieves cybersecurity in Iraq and Arab countries.
