Rights of People with disabilities and Special Needs
_ Equality in access to educational services among all students and an attempt to integrate people with disabilities into the educational community and student activity in the department, where all students have the right to receive a distinguished educational service regardless of the shortcomings that may marred their physical, mental and psychological condition.
• Use the facilities available in the college that help people with disabilities in their educational journey. All students are entitled to the college’s facilities and infrastructure, and the college must provide mechanisms that allow people with disabilities to move around and take full advantage of its capabilities safely.
• Moral and human maturity and societal educational complacency on the part of faculty members on the part of students, which creates an atmosphere of cooperation to take the hands of people with disabilities with special needs in their educational journey.
The mechanism for dealing with people with disabilities and special needs
1. People with visual impairments
The college provides the following:
A. Academic / student advisor to follow up the conditions of the blind and ensure that their needs are met.
B. Assigning them to different projects and meals for the grades of the year’s work in courses in which they are unable to deal with the required.
c. Provide writing facilities for them while allowing them to increase the exam time by 15 minutes to take into account writing difficulties.
2. Physically handicapped
Students with physical disabilities need special equipment in the infrastructure to facilitate their dealings with the place, including corridors and entrances to halls and toilets, equipping elevators and placing indicative signs to facilitate their dealings with the place.
The College takes the following measures to facilitate the treatment of people with motor disabilities:
A_ Taking into account the placement of their lectures in the halls of the ground floor to facilitate their transportation
B- Taking into account their assignment to different projects when they cannot participate in any presentations / projects that require movement.
3 . Psychologically / neurologically handicapped
Some students suffer from psychiatric/neurological conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and others. To assist them, the College takes the following measures:
A- Educating faculty members and the assisting body about the nature of these diseases and the way doctors recommend dealing with them.
B- Communicate with the student or his guardian in the event of a worsening of his condition to identify the nature of the disease and how to help.
c) Facilitating their year’s projects and assignments and not obliging them to undergo any rapid training related to a specific time.
D_ Communicate with the college administration to facilitate all paperwork for the student.
E_ Directing the student to the psychological counseling unit at the university to receive appropriate treatment.
4. Financially Defaulters:
Due to the college’s keenness on the interest of its students, it seeks to help them in many ways in the event of financial distress through the following means:
A- Participation of the teaching staff and the assisting body in financial aid.
B- Reducing tuition fees if it is from the category of students (parallel) for the initial study and the special expense for postgraduate studies.

The College is committed to the Law on the Care of People with Disabilities and Special Needs No. 38 of 2013 “Article V / Chapter II Goals and Means”, which stipulated (providing opportunities for public and private education, and vocational and higher education for people with disabilities and people with special needs who are able to complete them) The policy is reviewed periodically every four years in order to update it and approve developments according to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Acceptance
The College does not place restrictions on the number or percentage of eligible persons with disabilities who can be admitted or registered. Students with disabilities will be subject to the same admission/registration rules as other students. The College provides assistance to students with disabilities in the same way that it provides this assistance to students without disabilities. The college makes every effort to provide assistance to students with disabilities, including the potential need for disability-related financial expenses.
Procedures
The student must first be diagnosed as having a disability as specified in the Student Screening Committee report.
