Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Law / Al-Nahrain university: Respectable Professor Dr. Firas Abd Al-Razzaq Hamza.

The College of Law / Al-Nahrain university held in 2024 a scientific festival to commemorate the martyrs of the Speicher base under the title “The Speicher Crime, a Decade of Sorrow” The festival began with three working papers: The first was presented by Mr. Tariq Al-Mandlawi: Director of the Legal Department of the Martyrs Foundation and Advisor of the Prime Minister for Faylee Kurd Affairs -who was an honored guest at the college- his paper included an explanation of the Martyrs Foundation and the mechanisms for compensating the victims’ families.
The lecturer Murad Shaker Khorshid presented a paper on the legal description of ISIS terrorist crimes, and the second-year student: Amani Ali Yasser presented a social and legal paper in which she discussed the psychological impact of the Speicher crime on the families of the martyrs, and the problems and treatments.
In conclusion, the participants stressed the necessity of national unity in confronting the extremist ideology of terrorist groups.
