Within the framework of achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the College of Law at Al-Nahrain University participated in numerous activities that embody the achievement of the fourth goal of development goals. These included participation in scientific conferences in cooperation with public and private universities. In March 2024, the College, in cooperation with Al-Farahidi University, contributed to the scientific conference entitled “Legislative Strategies in Confronting Contemporary Challenges.” In addition, the College held numerous seminars and workshops aimed at addressing the development goals during 2024. These included the scientific seminar entitled “The Security and Legal Implications of Climate Change,” which falls under the requirements for achieving the thirteenth goal of development, as well as the scientific seminar entitled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Economic Development,” which aims to achieve the eighth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals. These activities represented a general call to unify intellectual and academic efforts to support the global development plan. Through its active participation in such activities, the College of Law at Al-Nahrain University aspires to launch cooperation and dialogue between scholars, thinkers and researchers in order to achieve tangible and sustainable progress in the vital field of education as one of the pillars of development. These activities also embodied the importance of the responsibility entrusted to the Deanship of the College of Law in achieving the goals and requirements of sustainable development in line with the successive development towards knowledge, understanding and practical application of these goals.
