In fulfillment the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s plan to combat extremism discourse, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Firas Abdul Razzaq, the academic staff of the Faculty of Law at the college are continue in implementing lectures and awareness seminars on the dangers of extremism

Dr. Ghassan Sabri Katei has carried out a seminar on methods and means of combatting extremism on campus and the target group was the students of the Faculty of Law.
The objectives of the symposium are to clear headedness the ideas of students and protectthem from extremist ideas, and effective mechanisms of combatting them have been clarified therein.

The symposium included three axes: the first one dealt with the introduction of extremism, the second axis dealt with the role of academic institutions in combatting extremism, and the third axis dealt with ways to purify the university community from extremist ideas.
